Its Freedom Gerald!!!!..How about you? what do you want when you become grown up, educated, prosperous, and influential? ..Here in the United States of America used to be FREEDOM. Where the hell are we anyway.? I thought the west coast was still part of the good old US. Now your government is telling you can Freedom until it counts for something.
A visit from your local politician stating "We at the local computer council have decided you are now too successful, and some feel your too aggressive, it was ok when you were small competing with all those big bullies we could not get payola from but now.. well its your turn to pay".

Your prescriptions for the political resolutions for Microsoft are not with out merit. The United States Justice Department has adopted different postures regarding such so-called monopolies in the past, all exhibit a relationship to the existing political climate and/or domestic economic stability.
Moreover, now they have allowed Chysler to install their own radios in their automobiles without penelty they may allow sofware companies to design without tooo much tampering...New Frontiers are scary for all.

<I think they need to rethink their approach to this antitrust problem and choose a different direction. They're at a fork in the road, and they have to ask: Which value is more important -- size, or freedom?>

You all don't get it do you? Gates is in the circle of life. He wants success, everything else is secondary. This is the best quality I can think of in a CEO (that and owning 25% of the co. stock).

Just as a hypothetical, what would your reaction be if Gates did decide to move base operations to India, and within a year and a half, makes India (presently a emreging market) the number one exporter of software techonology - consequetnly relegating the US two second or third and siphoning many billions out of our economy?
