I played poker in Biloxi Mississippi for three solid weeks
Hey Koan,

You seem like a nice guy, if a bit addled from all your pot smoking.
But nobody gives a good shit about when you played poker or who you played poker with.

Be well,
Peace,
hec

Sounds like you were intimidated by people different than you. What ever happened to tolerance and acceptance?

All of them at the table had singled me out. I'm not sure what they thought they were going to do, those big poker rooms they use honest dealers, so there's really not much they could do to me, although I'm not sure they knew that. Maybe just thought their numbers would be sufficient?

Sounds like a case of acute paranoia to me. It's possible that they just didn't like you.

but those guys just did not like my looks. God only knows what they were looking at.

Maybe they noticed you sizing them up and making judgements ahead of time without any proof or substantiation of their real personality or character? You wrote the next line, not me.

"I still remember the guy the left to me was a classic Mississippi cattlemen or whatever. He had a big black hat and a big gold buckle and a real mean look on his face."

It looks to me like "do as I say, but not as I do", which is the typical liberal way of life.
