I watched an interview with 3 private contractors that were hired as security for the CIA station about 3/4 of a mile from the embassy. This was on Fox News between 9 and 10 last night. They described in detail what their experiences were. There was no Marine detachment for the embassy or consulate, whatever it was called. The only security was by contractors. BTW there was a standdown order from their superior, which they eventually defied to go rescue the people at the embassy. I don't think they knew how far up the standdown order went up the chain of command.
