It would be very reasonable to ask why the Saudi prince was arrested on this particular Captagon smuggling run, which I'm sure was not his first. The easiest way to smuggle Captagon, liquor and other contraband into Saudi Arabia is by Saud family members who are exempt from customs inspections.

Why he got arrested this particular time could be down to internal politics in Lebanon, but is more likely a business dispute between the Sheikh and his drugs supplier.

I'm sure his arrest has anything to do with Shia's trying to trouble Sunnis. A large number of Saudis, including the royal family, routinely vacation in Lebanon.

On August 24 of this year Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia did issue travel advisories to their citizens not to travel to Lebanon after protests over the country's uncollected rubbish escalated into mass protests over perceived government corruption, and power and water shortages. Saudi Arabia also issued a similar short-lived travel warning last year as well.

But even with the current travel advisories, there are a lot of Saudi's in Lebanon.

Money in the form of oil and drugs, make even the very worst enemies friends. ISIS makes money by selling their oil production at a discount to their Kurd and Alawite enemies, just as the Kurd and Assad's Alawite government fund their war effort by buying ISIS oil at a discount.

Saud family members are smuggling drugs into Saudi Arabia, and likely other locations as well as their allowance is cut and Lebanon is the primary production source for these drugs.
