NEWS NEWS NEWS!!! December 22, 1997 Sanfred Resources Ltd. SND-VSE News Release #3 Till Samples Results From The 1997 Phase One Exploration Completed Don Farrell, President of Sanfred Resources Ltd. is pleased to announce that the phase One Till Sample its 1997 exploration program on its Beniah Lake Property, NWT-Yellowknife, have been completed. A total of 117 till samples were collected and analyzed for kimberlite indicator mineral content and visible gold grain counts. The gold grain counts were reported in ppb(part per billion) values and total grain counts including subdivisions of reshaped grains, modified grains and pristine grains. A pristine gold grain is an angular gold grain, which indicated a nearby source, and that transportation has not occurred over a great distance. The phase One Exploration has determined that the down ice direction is to the southwest. This being the case, line for till sample collection were orientated in a NW direction at 5 kilometer spacing with till samples collected at 100 metre intervals on each line. Results received from the processing of the till sample show that the area sampled contain 8 diamond indicator minerals comprised of 3 Chromites, 3 Peridoite Garnets, 1 Olivine and 1 Ilmenite. The visible Gold grain counts in measured ppb( parts per billion) have reported 9 samples of elevated gold counts dispersed over 2 sample lines which has shown an anomalous gold zone measuring 400 meters by 5000 meters. One line comprised of 5 samples collected over 500 meters reported a total gold grain count ranging from 30-901 ppb with a high count of 25 pristine gold grains. This area is near to the Top Lake, Bridge Lake, Coral and No Tag gold occurrences which are shear-hosted quartz veins which have reported values ranging from 10.5-19 grams per ton gold. These results are interpreted to have been derived from known gold occurrences. On a separate sample line 5 kilometers to the SW , 3 samples collected over 300 meters report a total grain count in ppb ranging from 25-96 ppb with a high count of 37 pristine gold grains. This area doesn't include any gold occurrences found to date; these results are interpreted to represent a possible new gold occurrence nearby. The company is pleased with results to date and is currently valuating all data complied on the property and is in the process of formatting a 1998 exploration program to follow up the results and to evaluate the property for precious and base metal potential. On behalf of the Board of Directors. Don Farrell President.
