<<<<A 4.8% jump in durable goods for November (compared with 0.5% expected) may help. .......i agree. but i also think they will as a group have good but not specatcular earnings (although chevron surprise to upside). when japan turns around you will see those rigs fire up big time. for now we are only firing on 6/8 cylinders. when japan kicks in--away we go. .......i expect better news out of japan in the next 6 months. more deregulation, bailing out banks, printing lots of yen, and tax relief.
