I admit, that is a very difficult dilemma. And the thing about dilemmas is that one is forced to make existential decisions. Like Sophie's choice.

I don't like abortion any more than you do. But I try to look at the mother's point of view, not just my point of view. The only rationalization one can make in this instance, is that in the earliest weeks, the babies consciousness is limited, if nonexistent.

One can learn without being conscious. I do find it ironic though, that so many people who want to stop abortion also want to limit birth control and sex education ,which would greatly reduce the problem.
