Bruce is a prime example of the Dunning-Kruger affect. He doesn't really know shit about a lot of things, but thinks he knows as much as those who do this for a living. He also likes conspiracy theories. So it seems perfectly natural that a bunch of scientists would band together over a period of decades and fake their work for no apparent reason other than they could.

If the raw data has errors, you can't possibly eliminate them by statistical manipulation. All this is is an excuse to throw out or change data not suitable for the narrative. Consider the 1880 - 2000 NASA data that NASA created an additional half degree of warming in between 2005 and 2015. Did they somehow identify problems in 2015 in the historic data they didn't know about in 2005? That's ludricious. That historic data had already been adjusted before 2005, yet they adjusted it some more .. a lot more.
