Thanks, bruiser, but I'm not looking to buy any appliances. She doesn't need them. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any stove-top recipes that could be a fairly decent Christmas dinner.

Looks like I might be buying an appliance after all. I don't see how it would nicely roast a turkey though. Seems like more of a crock pot.

I have this semi-portable oven from Wolfgang Puck and it works great for me... it will cook a small turkey or large chicken.
