So, NOAA, a federal agency, understands that global warming is real? By what rationale does a federal agency have an opinion on global warming? This is the "official position" or it is the belief of 100% of employees of the department, or a simple majority, or what? Whar, exactly, does that mean?

NOAA should just comply with his requests since they have nothing to hide, right.

The issue is the overreach of such demands from a congressional committee that clearly has no grasp of what it’s asking for, and is therefore grasping at straws.

You're kidding right?

A government funded agency claiming to have data to prove a position - yet refuses to release the publicly paid for research?

You'd expect these guys would be falling over themselves to release all the data.

How does one rationalize the position of NOAA and the Slate article you posted?

That research BELONGS TO THE TAXPAYER. We damned well have a right to know what it is that led this organization to make a demonstrably false claim. Are they wrong or committing a fraud?

What is YOUR rationalization for supporting their position?
