Lucy Painter shot her mouth off last quarter and, IMO, was the catalyst to CPQ's recent poor performance. At least she was smart enough to say this time, according to your post, that CPQ will meet earnings. Last quarter she was so enthusiastic that she set her own earnings estimate so high that there was no way it could have been achieved. Result...CPQ tanked on very good earnings. S.

Santosh, thanks for letting us in on it, and that explains it then. Also if you recall Lucy Painter of ML has been bullish all along, as she had a target price of approx $112.00 or so for CPQ before the the Asian crap start hitting the proverbial 'fan'. One interesting thing to note though is that during all this turmoil she hasn't changed her outlook on Compaq. Once again thanks.
