There's a BIG difference between motivation and success.

Al Queada ALWAYS wanted to attack the West and have their own "kingdom" or whatever and they had that in Afghanistan to some extent with the acceptance of the Taliban.

But they were still pretty much a "two bit" operation in Afghanistan with maybe 10,000 members total. And, they operated there with the permission of the Taliban who already HAD the kingdom they wanted (Afghanistan).

It wasn't until we went into Iraq and disbanded the military there and kicked all the Baathists out of the government that Al Queada gained about 20 million new believers in the Sunnis there. And MANY of those Sunnis were former Iraqi military with training.

THAT'S what created ISIS!!!!!

So, it WAS our invasion of Iraq and our HORRIBLE handling of the situation there after Saddam was already gone that caused ISIS.
