Nitpic...................Anyone who reads my posts knows I have taken large doses of D3 for a couple of years now. Started out at 10K, then 20K, then 30k, and finally 40 to 50K per day. I don't feel good at 50K and dropped back. I have no autoimmune problems, never have had. I watch for symptoms of overdose of D3, occasionally miss a day or two, and also get a lot of good sun. If what I have done scares others, then they should not be considering D3 supplementation. I've been very slow and conservative about my approach.. I've had my blood levels tested, and I am not so regimented as not to miss a few days now and then. I don't need any convincing PG, and I don't care if I'm a good advert for your beliefs or not.

My criticism is of your all-or-nothing attitudes.

I find your posts toward protein, particularly red meat protein, to be almost reactionary. Your comments run counter to a lot of other views you post. I went so far as to say that if one is going to eat red meat, one should at least eat non factory raised cows. ie. grass fed range grazed animals, as opposed to long term feed lot cattle that are fed antibiotics, and then 'pumped' for a final muscle growth before slaughter.

Charters is more right, I believe, with regard to protein and animal fats. His points about oxidation of foods makes a lot of sense. Its actually a very small point in the general discussion, but has some major implications. Its something for everyone to consider in their choice of foods.

As for me. I will continue to eat small amounts of meats as a protein source. But I will do so in a more conservative way. I have access to very good grass fed cattle, and pretty naturally grown chickens and hogs, and I will make the effort to buy those products, at the expense of a few dollars a purchase.

Sometimes I think you suffer from dyslexia and switch what people write around 170 degrees in your mind, and then attack them for such, when in reality they pretty much agreed with you in the first place. Its entertaining, but you do yourself more harm than good. I've made that point over the years, but it never seems to sink in. So don't go blaming others for the fact that you often shot the messenger---even when the messenger is yourself.
