As a dividend and overall play, I like GM over IP. Recent results have been quite strong for GM, and I think the stock has substantial upside potential.

If I am going to buy a stock in this environment, it will have to be one which is out of favor, taken a nice hit and has a nice dividend for me to sit and wait for the turnaround. MAT fits the bill for me, has a dividend over 6% and above all, I like what management is doing to turn the stock price and company around.
