I don't think it necessary to exclude the concept of a flat tax because it resembles tithes, or to avoid the use of the analogy because of the religious origin. I don't personally support a flat tax on income, but I don't care about the candidates' views on taxation. It just doesn't matter.

We really need a president who knows how to respect the views of others who don't think like he does. And we need one who can comprehend the fiscal problems we face and one who can credibly deal with foreign powers. I just don't care about his religious views. It is a silly argument.
