How do you disagree with facts? They talked to some people from his childhood. They were skeptical about the violence. They went to the Carson campaign and asked for details. They were rebuffed. Oh, did you see where Carson claimed that the signers of the Declaration of Independence had held no elected office at the time of the signing? Turns out, most of them did. The Carson campaign did a partial retraction, modified it to "no federal office". Which isn't surprising, the federal government didn't exist at the time... Or his "amateurs built the Ark, professionals built the Titanic". That doesn't even make sense.

I have not refuted the story. I have merely stated that there is no proof Carson lied about his history,so far. CJ posted this allegation. I responded to him that it is unsubstantiated unless he can prove it and that people from his youth who knew him can also not know everything about his history, especially if there were things he was not proud of at the time. CJ said this with no reference initially to CNN, so as far as this public thread goes, he took ownership over the allegation he posted. He later wobbled about whether he was making the accusation or not. He seems to still be trying to make a case which is fine but he has not provided a spec of evidence that proves Carson to be a liar. Carson can be mistaken about historical Pharaonic facts btw without being a liar (that was not part of CJs original accusation anyway, he insinuated Carson lied about his personal history). Other than that ... nothing. All I asked him to do was admit it was an unproven allegation, at least at his point, which it is. He couldn't man up enough to do that. I told him to prove it if he could because I don't want to be caught supporting another liar like I was with Bill Clinton. Now he goes further by calling me a liar, which he can also not substantiate, even with the thousands of posts I've contributed over the past 17 years. I have asked him to present one example and promised a public apology if he could find one. Not happening, so he is down with two strikes. CJs allegation> "Ok. Let me recap. He hasn't provided enough details for Baltimore PD to determine if the Popeye stickup occurred. His campaign says he won't say anymore about the event. People who knew him when he was younger say that they don't recall him being violent as he claims he was. He refuses to provide information so that the people he claims he attacked can verify his claims."

Further I have gotten to know some Adventists very well as I was a vegetarian for many years during the 70s. They are expected to be conscientious objectors to war and to avoid violence at all costs. I know from personal experience that bullies often misinterpret someone's gentle nature to be someone who could not become violent when provoked. A seventh day Adventist youth would likely keep such an event to themselves because the community would not approve. With regard to a police report, the police are not always called when a few bucks are stolen from a cash register. Even if the police were called, they might not see cause to submit a report and if they did it is unlikely they would have a reason to include Carson in such a report. Even if they did police records were not computerized decades ago. Such a wild goose chase could go no where, all the while fanning flames of hatred toward Carson. I am sure he is aware of that. I can think of plenty of other reasons to why he would refuse to spend any more bandwidth on that track. I don't lie. It hasn't stopped CJ from repeated unsubstantiated accusations, calling me a liar. Can I prove I am not a liar? No. What is CJ basing that allegation on? My posts allegedly. There is nothing there but it doesn't stop the creep form such serial posts. This is what Carson is dealing with. At least, unless or until someone proves otherwise.
