Brian, You are right about Slot 2, but that's for the high-end markets, namely servers. As for the Segment-0, what you listed are just rumours. I don't know what Intel will do with this market. Maybe Intel is deliberately creating FUD..But, Intel's new strategy is to compete in different market segments. I think they are treating Segment 0 as a different market segmenmt. No doubt Intel can get a sub-$1000 chip with Slot 1, but is it the most profitable means??? But, they're bread and butter in 98 will be Slot-1 based PIIs (along with Slot 2 in 2H98), and I just see Slot 1 gaining momentum as prices decline.
