Koan;
Well its hard to explain in short enough writings. Can't be done in short little sound bites. But here goes because I think you're a deep thinker;

Krugman has been arguing for years that Japans problem (this is always his reasoning by the way) ...is that Japan just didn't stimulate enough and that is the reason for the lost decade - more like two decades now. BUT the thing is that Japan has been stimulating massively and it just hasn't worked. I hope you read the article - all of it! Because if you had read the article you would have learned that increasing Japan just can't find stuff to stimulate. That they are building roads and airports that just don't get used. .............It's actually a no brainer once you inject demographics into the discussion. .........So take this one more step; what do you think of Obama's Keystone Pipe line decision? You have to love it right? BUT that's infrastructure. That's what democrats have been screaming for more of. AND this is my argument against Krugmans ever shouting more stimulus more stimuls. If political leaders followed Krugmans thinking - we would already be building the pipeline.
