Christianity has been a liberating influence for women, which is why women especially gravitated to it in the Roman era. And for that matter most everywhere, including here and now.
You've got to be kidding yourself.......Catholics allow no women priests, Catholics and E-vans deny women's birth rights and birth control rights .....liberating, where, how?

Those things don't nullify the truth of what I said.

Almost all other religions and cultures have been rougher on women. Think of foot-binding, burning of widows, burqahs, cliterectomies, and on and on.

Whether women are priests isn't that big a deal and the right to an abortion involves death for another life.

It is a term I frequently hear in today's world...
Really? I don't believe you.

I'm sure you hear it frequently in your own church and among its members
I know I don't. Again, this is where you are projecting.
