The cadets approached the stage from two sides, on one side W greeted and on the other a general whose name I can't remember now. My kid was greeted by the general...
That's different. For my friend who graduated in 1997 (1998?), there was one line, IIRC. Every cadet got to shake hands with President Clinton.

The picture of that still hangs in the house of my friend's father. I'll never forget the look on my friend's face in that photo. This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, something his immigrant dad can be proud of. Yet my friend, a staunch conservative, had an unimpressed look on his face. ;-)
