Hi Jane, Just for the record in Matthew 1:15-16 It says; and Jacob the father of Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.For whatever reason God lists the genealogy of Joseph being from the line of David. The term Ben used in a mans name means son of so that is why during His lifetime He was called Yeshua Ben Yosef according to historical accounts. Love during the season, Nancy
