Republican gridlock in Congress makes sweeping legislative change impossible.


The Neo-Karlians (they don't like to be called Marxists) are so funny - they totally miss the point. The reason that the U.S. is a successful nation is because it was designed to limit the power of politicians - especially, to prevent their "sweeping" changes. We have been recently force-fed one of their sweeping changes - ObamaCare... For some reason, their sweeping changes always turn out to be expensive power grabs and failures.
