Bonefish,
The key to Trump's plan is a big door to let legal immigrants back in. It's called management of the borders.
I actually agree with expanding the limits on legal immigration. Carrot and stick. Reduce the demand for illegal immigrant labor while at the same time controlling our borders and getting a handle on the situation.

What I don't support is the notion that if you make the employers of illegal immigrants criminals, the problem will just take care of itself.
