Japan, China, and Russia are making plans to mine the moon. Frankly, I think it would be easier to bring helium3 here than shoot massive amounts of hardware into permanent orbit and somehow zapping massive amounts of power through our atmosphere. I can tell you one thing .. greens would never allow microwave transmission of energy through our atmosphere.
