There was some decent selling during the last hour or so; now small short covering. The dilemma all the longs have is worrying about getting out before the retracement/pullback/collapse. They know a lot of folks are waiting to defer the gains into next tax year. They know they are sitting on a bubble. It would be difficult -taxes or no- to see this thing where it is and not unload some. Watching the close with interest today - that run this morning might have washed out all the nervous shorts.
