Actually they're still 25% below. The price of Intel CPU's at thechipmerchant is not very competitive right now. I believe this is because they aren't buying inventory because of the coming price cuts. Last time Intel cut prices they didn't sell ANY Intel MMX chips for the last week before the cut.

In view of the latest reports on K6 sales as being neck and neck with PII in november at last month's higher prices , I cannot see
your reasoning being correct . If last months K6 sales so good , it does not make sense that they were forced to sell at a larger discount
this month . There must be another reason which we will become evident soon. The action of the stock is normal in december due to final tax loss selling .

PS the K6-166 and 200 price has not changed much over the last month or so , $174 for 200mhz
