Norm, I sort of let the issue of the "unscientific experiment" float by originally, but the idea of somebody doing a "scientific experiment" on how Windows operates sort of implies it's a law of nature or something. Bizarro, that.

Anyway, it's quite tiresome arguing about the precise semantics of what happens when you hit the add/remove program icon in the control panel, then under the install/uninstall tab, choose something to delete and hit add/remove. Given the, uh, duality of the whole chain, it is sort of confusing, but when you go through the motions for everything but IE, you, you know, get rid of the object of your devotion. Things are apparently different with IE, but what would you expect? It's a yin/yang thing.

Cheers, Dan.
