Gold up today in the midst of Korean turmoil...

South Korea's stock market suffered its biggest one-day drop ever Tuesday on news of dwindling foreign reserves and further downgrading of its currency credit rating.

I think people are starting to realize that gold provides an element of stability that is missing from currency. Take the South Korean currency for example, which has lost nearly 60% of its value in the past two months.

The way things are going, just imagine going to your local Korean (or Japanese, or ???) bank in a few months and finding out you cannot withdraw your money but instead get a "sorry, but we are bankrupt now".

I think that gold is going to take a hefty hike in the near future. Just my opinion.

Regards,
WW
