Mr. Bean Chewer:

Chew on these:

What is happening with Corel Computer?

It was a bad idea to begin with. Made worse by the DEC/INTC deal. Made worse again when John Malone (TCI) wants a single new set-top box solution for cable access to internet, digital channels, pay for view, and POTS. Made worse by slow acceptance of NC technology by corporations. Made impossible by its high price and Corel's perceived financial condition. Just a guess now: the mutha company being up-against-the- wall, has had to cut way back on its support of CCC.

Will there be a saleable product to public with?

Sooner or later yes. I hope later. It has no chance for acceptance in the marketplace today. Being too early to the bleeding edge can cut deep. Let's see working protoypes and neat articles in the computer mags and newspapers. I would hope that COSFF is at least talking to the Intel people. The poor little StrongArm at 200 233 or even 300 megahertz is not a processor to go with unless support is guaranteed to be there from the manufacturer.

Will the Mother company (Corel Corp) receive a large financial bonus with the IPO?

Dream on Bean. You had to be dreaming to pose the question.

Leo

Hey Mr. Bean,

>...I have not been a Corel cheerleader for many months but I am seeing some sign of hope. If we could just get any financial analyst to upgrade recommendation...

With all due respect, this is the funniest comment I've seen since St*v* W** got thrown off the board. With all this positive sentiment floating around lately, I'm starting to get worried that whoever stole Vanni got to you guys too.

Until Daffy Dork MC is effectively ousted or muzzled, this company is doomed. Hope, but don't hold your breath for this great turn around. And, let's put off the the 1998 company of the year nominations for now. I mean, this all sounds great and would make a nice novel, hey even a made for TV docu-drama, but you guys are really reaching at this point.

Regards,
-Scott
