I just see so odd this kind of mass death in Mecca recieves so little coverage globally, if only 100 died in a stampede at Lourdes, would be front page news. Quite obvious why ancient Hebrew priests & later a desert prophet would imitate weaving divine instruction into the scripture of one city being holy and only there will God recognize the sacrifices.

Wreeks of exclusivity & almost neurotic paranoid control, but then one forgets that satan is everywhere & this everpresent God tends to leave at the worst times. It makes sense from an economic pov, the guarantee that one city & its priests/temple will be certain to enjoy a prosperity of yearly religious pilgrimages & sacrifices. Good for the priests, mullahs, goat raisers & holy relic makers.

* Always smile when Gengkis Khan who worshipped a 'sky god', had no such burden & terrorized Europe & sacked Baghdad. Who once sent a memo to the pope, if your god was so wise & strong then why did he make me?
