It appears to me that they are playing into the hand of the enemy, to show the moderate Muslim world that the west hates them, and wants to bring Christian theocracy. A reaction of fear by Republicans, not a strategy. Key word: "strategy." To win this war, we need more than bombs and rockets. Or arresting Muslims and building walls.
