Its not ancient history. Down to our own revolution, our first father Washington was eductated in the classics & universally compared to Cincinnatus a 5th century (BC) Roman statesman & benign general . And he has remained for centuries an enduring model for civic virtue. en.wikipedia.org

Do i believe in Zeus? No, i believe in true history not Hebrew or later Islamic bedouin fables & fake BS, their gods no more real than an Aztec worshipping a giant bird god.

George Washington was often compared to
Cincinnatus for his willingness to give up his position as Commander-in-Chief of
the Continental Army and decline offers of
near-monarchical power after the crisis of the American
Revolution
had passed and victory had been won, instead retiring
to his farm at Mount Vernon. [9] The Society of the Cincinnati is a historical
association founded in the aftermath of the American Revolutionary War, by
officers of the Continental Army, to preserve the ideals of the military
officer's role in the new American Republic. Washington was its first president.
The city of Cincinnati, Ohio was named in honor of this society
