Trader, the way SOTA has weathered the tech wreck of the past two months leads me to believe that there are a lot of people who, at least. think they know that good things are happening. With no news of major importance to support the price SOTA has hung right around 16 the whole time, while others have wilted away... This kind of pattern, especially in the face of massive overall tech selling is very positive from my perspective.

'...make noise about entering this space'

Hi dave!

>>
I also beleive strongly that a number of the larger players (PSFT/BAANF) are running out of growth at the high end and will make noise about entering this space - that's a major change in distribution channel - they'll probably fail, but it could make for ugly psychology. Look at the performance of Vantive stock, flat to down over time despite fabulous growth, but the psychology is more negative than ever due to increasing competition and fears of pricing pressure.

That is my feeling also! When going forwards towards 1/1/2000, it will be increasingly difficult for larger and even smaller firms to replace old systems with newer systems such as Baan, SAP.

This replacement option will only be available for small firms, where the implementation time is less compared to larger firms.

Same argument applies to the co's discussed in this thread (NT Accounting Software (GPSI, PSQL, SOTA, TMBS)).

Only when they can be deployed much more rapidly than Baan, SAP, etc they offer a viable alternative.

Any thoughts?

Regards,

John
