Pew poll: Between 63 million and 287 million ISIS supporters in just 11 countries

By Sierra Rayne

A new poll by the Pew Research Center reveals significant levels of support for ISIS within the Muslim world. In 11 representative nation-states, up to 14 percent of the population has a favorable opinion of ISIS, and upwards of 62 percent "don't know" whether or not they have a favorable opinion of the Islamist group. In Pakistan, a nuclear weapons state, only 28 percent of the public view ISIS unfavorably. By this overwhelming degree of either tacit support or tolerance for ISIS in the country, ISIS should be considered as a potential proxy nuclear weapons power via its linkages and support within Pakistan.

UC Merced Students, Faculty Sympathizing with Knife Attacker Faisal Mohammad

"Don't turn our tragedy into hate."
11.18.2015
Trey Sanchez

According to a story at The College Fix, some UC Merced students and faculty are showing sympathy for Faisal Mohammad, who two weeks ago, went on a stabbing rampage on campus wounding four people. They are also mourning the 18-year-old who was shot to death before carrying out the rest of his terrorist plot.

The day after Mohammad's death, an "R.I.P. Faisal Mohammad" Facebook tribute was gaining traction around campus. It was hashtagged #UCMStrong and garnered nearly 800 likes in the first day. Comments included, "I love this post. Thank you for being human. A child died yesterday; while his ACTIONS were terrible… a child died yesterday."

A "child" who was found to have an image of an ISIS flag, beheading instructions in his manifesto, and reminders to praise Allah during his planned killing spree.

Kabbany reveals that a "teach in" was held on Monday night by the Critical Race and Ethnic Studies faculty. She said it "was conspicuously devoid of discussions of radical Islam, and instead delved into topics such as how society’s notions of masculinity pressure men."

The subject of the evening was, "Don't Turn Our Tragedy Into Hate." Topics included: "What does mental health have to do with this?" - "Why are men more likely to be perpetrators of violence?" - "Why are campus police armed?" - "What do race and religion have to do with this?"

Here is the invite:

The College Fix obtained audio of the event and provided a partial transcript of what was heard that night:

"One speaker during the panel discussion delved into what she claimed was the quintessential example of manliness: “Middle class, able bodied, heterosexual, red meat, probably Christian."

"Anger, that is really what we think about when we think about emotional men,” she continued. “They are subject to social sanctions if they deviate from masculinity. If you are perceived as failing at it, you are subject to being called a fag, a p***y, a wimp, pretty much what women are, right?”

“So when you have this limited ability to sort of express your emotions and possible feelings of emasculation, of low self esteem, how do you really [deal with] that? A lot of times they … engage in violence. They need to compensate for their loss of masculinity in the most manly way they have access to, and unfortunately, a lot of times that’s violence.”

The narrative perpetuated immediately by way of authorities was that Mohammad's motivations had nothing to do with Islamic terrorism and were simply the action's of an angry young man being kicked out of a study group. And it appears as though students and faculty agree.

Yet, Kabbany did speak to one student who attended the teach-in and said he was shocked that they insisted the attack was the result of "masculinity" and would not call it "Islamic terror." He said many of the 200 people in attendance labeled anyone who called it a terrorist attack Islamophobic.

Campus lunacy abounds.

Poll: Third of Syrian Refugees Are ISIS Sympathizers

What could go wrong?

Mark Tapson

A poll released in November but ignored by the mainstream media shows that a third of Syrian refugees do not want the Muslim terrorist group ISIS defeated, reports Gateway Pundit.

The poll reveals that thirteen percent of Syrian refugees have a positive opinion of ISIS. That's a big, collective thumbs-up to a gang of savages who burn people alive, enslave women, behead children, and heave gay men to their deaths from rooftops. Another ten percent have a negative opinion to some extent on the terror group, though the poll doesn't specify in what way. Perhaps that ten percent feels that ISIS isn't killing enough gay men.

The poll also shows that thirty-one percent of Syrian refugees oppose the campaign to “degrade and ultimately destroy” ISIS.

Applying those figures to the 10,000 Syrian refugees Obama plans to bring into the United States means that Obama will be allowing into the country around 1,300 people who are rooting for our destruction at the hands of ruthless jihadists, and a total of 3,100 who, at best, do not want ISIS defeated.

Applying those numbers to the 1,600 Syrian refugees the Obama administration imported in the last fiscal year means the possibility of about 200 Syrian refugee ISIS supporters and a total of nearly 500 ISIS sympathizers are already here.

And Obama wonders why over half the governors in the country refuse to go along with his plan to import 10,000 Syrian refugees over the next year.

The telephone poll of 900 Syrian refugees was conducted by the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies as part of a larger survey of six hundred people in each of six Arab nations and the Palestinian territories about ISIS. The group surveyed Syrian refugees in “equal proportion” located in Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon. The survey also covered residents of Iraq, Egypt, Lebanon, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and the Palestinian territories. The poll has a margin of error rate of plus or minus four percent.

The survey results for the other Arab countries show similar levels of support for ISIS. The sole exception is Lebanon, Gateway Pundit reports, where fewer than one percent have a positive view of ISIS.

Even more supportive of ISIS than the Syrian refugees are, unsurprisingly, Palestinians. The survey shows twenty-four percent of Palestinians have a positive view of ISIS with another thirty-six percent only having a somewhat negative opinion of ISIS. The survey also shows Palestinians as the only group where fewer than fifty percent (48) support the defeat of ISIS.
