Our universities LOVE foreign students, who don't get an in-state discount at public U's, and pay full price. It's one of the wonders of the free market. It wouldn't surprise me if Americans become a minority at our universities. They are a bargain for foreigners, and provide an education that can be obtained nowhere else.

Other people's achievements seem to bother you. I worked my way through college too, but I didn't come from another country and immediately get enrolled in a university. Why would that have kept someone from enrolling? Didn't you notice foreign students when you went to school? A lot of people come from other countries and don't seem to get that opportunity without money or some other factors involved. I don't see how any bias would be necessary to ask questions about the fellow's circumstances. Actually there are loads of foreign students in our schools. And what are you interested in knowing? You seem to think the elder Cruz didn't deserve to go to college. He must have cheated somehow you're implying. Why not ask how Obama's grandparents afforded to send him to the most expensive prep school in HA? He then starts a business in Canada. Probably 9 years after he graduated from U of T. If you're into seismic-processing why go to Canada and not just stay in Texas which was the oil drilling center of the U.S.? Alberta is the center of Canada's oil industry. My company did a lot of drilling there and I know a bunch of Canadians ... I even have one living next door. If this were 1933 Germany I probably would be asking the same types of questions about possible candidate Adolph Hitler too. Hitler was pro- gun control and a socialist so he might be more your kind of guy. He was obsessed with how Jews seemed to get ahead as well and he knew they must be cheating just like you think you know the Cruz family has.
