Hah! Visual J++? Try again. They bundle it as part of Visual Studio, which people buy for the other items, mostly Basic and Fortran. Microsoft counts those sales as sales of J++ to inflate their claims of popularity for it. But people who want to do programming in Java mostly use Symantec's offerings.

They might as well include a comic book with Visual Studio and claim that they're making money selling comic books.

<<Visual J++ is the most popular for java development.>>

No, Symantec is the leader in this market by a long shot.

While Visual J++ does sell standalone, have you noticed that at a $99 price tag, they offer an $80 rebate.

I am sure Microsoft will eventually make money off VJ++, but they are going for market share right now and are definitely not considered the leader.
