Hopefully the GOP will pick one of their worst, a high risk scenario for sure, but the likely outcome would be a tsunami of voters that finally might elect a Democratic president along with at least a Democratic majority Senate. As for the house, probably gerrymandered for now... I know several Republicans who are thoroughly disgusted with Trump and if he is nominated, probably would just stay home. But they're not political junkies, either.
(I call it high risk because there's always the outside chance that the 'worst' might win. Thinking Florida and Bush)

Rubio worries me the most. He's young, handsome and articulate. He can think on his feet. If he gets there, he might present a real threat to Hillary.
