Still lots of stop lights not functioning. I am very impressed with the courtesy of people driving both ways. They take turns and nobody has to wait too long to cross the intersection.

Yesterday I nearly blew my stack as I was driving past our middle school. The speed limit there is 50 despite many attempts to get it reduced to at least 40, or even 35. The state DoT is clueless. It's a straight stretch and there is a double yellow line, but this jerk passed me going about 60.

It's the same area/zone where I've been trying to stake out with our patrol cruiser, hoping that it would encourage people to slow down a little.

I'm about to start an effort to get one or more of those speed signs that flash your speed as you pass. I think they are effective in getting people to voluntarily slow down, although not everyone agrees.
