It isn't ignored. The concentration of water vapor is a function of the temperature. So it acts as an amplifier because it doesn't change the temperature once it reaches a steady state and it can't change said steady state.

Water vapor ignored??? You josh....water is probably the most studied compound in the universe. Books of data of water in it's various forms and states exist and literally every other element and substance is studied for it's reactions with and solubility in water....... H2O as a greenhouse gas....? Well known and well studied...
