Google "carbon dioxide poisoning". Apparently, it is a thing. Just because you haven't experienced it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. You can test this! Take a tall garbage can. Put water and dry ice in the bottom. Wait until it fills with vapor. Stick your head in it. Note: any effects you feel are not solely due to lack of oxygen. Sure, the oxygen level is lower, but there is still plenty in there.
