That is a great story. It is hard for people to break away from their roots even when reality is staring them right in the face. I just spent a wonderful weekend with my older daughter and her friends, and even though they had a lot of education, their families came from Kansas and Virginia, and boy you could see how they hung on to that southern culture. Why it's so important for young kids to be raised as free range children, and introduced to the full spectrum of knowledge. We were at the beach and for two days I watched all four of those kids (5 to 9) just roam at will from oceans edge to sand dunes just having tons of fun. They were on full speed the entire time and that evening my five-year-old grandson had pushed himself so far he went into the yurt and put himself to bed-lol. I always felt that full immersion into nature sort of tuned the body and mind up in a natural way. It provided the instinctual animal with whatever environment it is that is necessary to properly meet the needs of genetic imprinting. All my life, I would take time out several days a week to run, or ride my bike through the forests I think it helped keep me sane, well as saying is I ever got, which isn't saying much. While I was there, one of my kids friends asked me are you always so outspoken? I answered, pretty much. For 100 years we allowed segregation in the South to fester. It was because not enough people spoke up. That was a terrible thing we allowed those people to do to the African-American. That was unacceptable. So I speak up. Hope things are going well with you.
