The one thing that always surprised me about that show is that in real life, Isabel Sanford, who played Jefferson's wife, was actually more than 20 years older than Sherman Hemsley. Of course, even back in the 70s, it was no surprise that the leftist media was pushing miscegenation and interracial themes as "normal" (e.g., the Jefferson's White neighbor, Willis, who married a Black woman and had a Black daughter with her, and the wealthy White man in Different Strokes who adopted two Black boys who were always into mischief, and that gay character on Soap). Such themes are what always epitomizes the leftist entertainment industry and media. They take rare or uncommon situations and try to pass them off as leftist "mainstream". It's no wonder that America is all fu¢ked up.
