Is there any board left for independent pragmatic thinkers? Even this board now beyond bizarre left wing nut jobs controlled with most of the old regulars no longer posting.. Is hilarious I am all for minimum wage indexed to inflation so we should have a national minimum now around $10.50 to $11 an hour. Of course inflation way underestimated as you been pointing out for a decade. Ironic those so called very blue bastions of the working class along the coasts with the worst bubble of all you'd need to be making several times that with two wage earners to pay the bills compared to the rest of the country more purple and red with work force housing still $75-150k and reasonable rents two low wage earners can at least have a decent life.. That ship has sailed in Denver in recent years as you've seen and it will continue to spread IMHO..

Housing costs in parts of CA now twice the previous peak yet no one talks about it. We are beyond the point of no return in our bloated overspending and over leveraged ways. Expecting great depression 2.0 late in the next presidential term. No one can save us now as the stupidity in the left coast and the NE courtesy of WS and DC policies continues to spread. The end game will only be worse the longer the central bankers continue ZIRP policy IMHO as both private and public debt levels come home to roost simultaneously as asset multiples to cash flow far exceed any previous peak and the reaper finally comes calling..
