APCO conversation with Todd today....

Jim

I spoke with Todd at APCO today. He told me that the November sales were very good and that so far December sales so far looked good and they are still very hopeful of hitting the concensus estimates if not the higher .08 from Morgan Keegan. In my opinion and I stress my opinion only, new car sales have been up this quarter with alot of dealer low finance options and for the most part favorable weather conditions. This coupled with the Sonic agreement which will probably add a few contracts in the fourth quarter. Might possibly lead to a slight earnings surprise of .09 I doubt .10 however but one never knows.

Todd said the comapny is always working on ways to increase company exposure and shareholder value. He stated that they are working on several items that if sucessful should enhance the shareholders value.
he was reluctant to give any type of a time frame due to the problems that were created on the thread regarding anticipation of and selling on news theories. I told him I agreed as long as he told me first LOL.(just kidding Todd )

He also mentioned that he had had several favorable conversations and was working very closely suppling some microcap funds, information regarding APCO and that the interest appeared to be genuine and thought that if something was going to happen that it would happen toward the first of the year. I think that another possibility may be that they will be waiting for 4th quarter numbers that should be released sometime around the end of February. Some thought along this line would be that if APCO was able to post a .01 earnings surprise it would be the 3rd quarter in a row that they have reported record revenues, earnings and earning surprises and anticipate on being able to grow the business at least 30% for next year. All of which are looked upon very favorably from institutions looking for growth companies to invest in.

I am the first to admit that I do not know much about TA(the four guys I rely on for TA will no doubt vouch for that <vbg>). It just bolsters my confidence in this stock when the four guys that I listen to when picking a fundamentally sound stock all like the stock. I'm sure you have heard of them Doug R, Myron, Dave H and Jim Strauss.

Something else to consider that Jack mentioned earlier in regards to the (.01) reported for the last 4th quarter. Even if someone was to take that into consideration, the actual earnings before the right off were .04. If they hit .08 this quarter that will reflect a 100% increase from trhe previous quarter. This should do nothing but increase the exposure for institutional investors.

I have not been able to find anything bad about this stock but would gladly welcome any critisims concerns or suggestions. Todd also told me to have anybody call him with any questions or concerns that they have.
