Do you always take Putin's word over that of our NATO allies? It this how far your right wing Putin bromance has come?

You also seem to be assuming that these were ISIS insurgents. What if these were non-ISIS insurgents - the very ones the US is arming - that the Russian planes were bombing - would you feel the same?

The only stupid people are the ones who make ignorant assumptions and who believe Russian propaganda.

Here is a close-up of the Turkish military image showing where the incursion occurred. You think our ally is lying?

Sure, it came down in Syria. Really, really close to the Turkish border.

I realize you are a big Putin fan. But it was pretty dumb to operate right on the border with a country that has shown little tolerance of cross-border excursions. We aren't talking biplanes here. Jets move pretty quickly and have wide turning radii. So there is always a danger of over-shooting and, in this case, crossing borders if extreme care is not taken.

The fact of the matter is that Russia has been cavalierly invading other countries airspace and national waters. Until now, not much has happened. It has played well back in Russia, "Russia is strong like tractor! Weak-willed Western countries cower while we do what we want!". But that wasn't the case this time. No doubt, they will work up some pretext to shoot down some Turkish planes to save face. If they can. It is one thing to bomb rebels with no air defenses. It is quite another to take on a country with some of the best hardware.
