Of course, if the Asian situation continues, perhaps we will all be destitute by February anyway...:-).

I, for one, would be happy to see 1998-2000 being a repeat of 1992-94 (when the markets returned a total of 20% over three years). That should take the wind out of the sails of most of the speculators and purge them out of the market.

Of course, a garden-variety bear market in 1998 would be even more welcome! :-)
