Peter, I am lousy at prognostications but that has never stopped me:)

I am looking for the markets to bottom towards the end of the year and then rally in January -- and posted to this effect a few days ago before the latest sell-off. Not sure how sustained the rally will be -- I suspect that it will be derailed by earnings warnings later in January.

Then I am looking for a bottom in the mid-late March time-frame as more earnings warnings surface and that should create a more sustainable time frame from which point we then rally into the summer.

I think that the Asian markets/problems will be a damper on any Santa Claus rally--heard on TV that any year when we have not had a year-end rally, the markets have declined the following year -- don't know if this is accurate.

Merry Christmas to you too!!
