If Cruz got to the general election he could probably be Will Rogers and Ronald Reagan rolled into one and he'd still lose badly. The demographics just aren't lining up right for him. I think his deficit in affability will play out much sooner in the Republican Primaries where everybody seems to agree on most stuff. As the candidates decrease the personality factor increases. If he could do well enough through Mar. 1st then he could be the leading candidate, but after that he'll need a bit of personality to go all the way.
