Now I'm egotistical and arrogant, too? I never stated or implied any characterizations of my own intelligence. I simply disagree with your view that JR is always to be ignored. He has pointed out many important developments before the average investor became aware of them. He pointed out the impending DRAM/SRAM glut in early 1995, the impact of Asian demand on grain prices, and the fiscal chaos of Mexico in 1994. Worst of all, you assume that Soros was carrying JR on his back when they were running Quantum together. Alan Abelson shredded that notion a few years ago. Perhaps JR's misread of the dollar and bond markets in recent years indicate that, indeed, he is losing touch with the markets. Only time will tell. However, he certainly doesn't dabble in exotic investments to get attention. He is making a killing by shunning the herd.
