I was serious. I think next year with the market valuations the way they are something's going to give -- then in a less than a year AOL will be one more bit player in the provision of internet services and valued like one, too.

Jack et al: According to AOL, they have 114 merchant partners who are doing twice the business they did last year.

In spite of the spin put on the PR release, this is nothing like the explosive growth both in dollar volume and vendors predicted in the past. There's a mall near here--a real mall not a cybermall--with substantially more than 114 vendors--and that's just one mall.
